The devoted Libythth fan cult that is rumored to exist may have difficulty adjusting to this artist’s rampant stylistic drift from an extensive catalogue of reliably tasteful and breezy electronic funk instrumentals to this intermittently gloomy collection of detuned guitar loops, microtonal interludes and indecipherable quack rap. Newcomers will enthusiastically scoop aside fistfuls of wet leaves to follow Libythth ever deeper down this fanciful sonic newt hole. Featuring four year old Tesla Ixoteptek who coined the technical term “glompotch” for a large wad of every color of play-doh.

each track uses the fact that its digital hardcore in its own unique way each time, rarely sounding similar to the other despite generally being noisy and in your face. i find this to be especially helped by Machine Girl's usage of unique samples or their own voices, which i can barely understand but honestly it really adds to the charm and aesthetic of this release. i know this album is 7 years old at the time of writing this, but it still holds up incredibly well.
